A
day of creative writing using place and setting as inspiration. The day will
include a short walk so some mobility is necessary as well as suitable
footwear. There will be some extended periods of individual writing, so bring a
pen and plenty of paper. Bring a packed lunch. Advanced booking only – closing
date Monday 1st July.

Meet the Authors- Jenn Ashworth and Russ Litten 7.30pm

Betty Trask Award-winning author Jenn Ashworth and star of
2012 Read Regional campaign Russ Litten are coming to Hebden Bridge Library to
read from their new novels, The Friday Gospels and Swear Down and
talk about how they supported each other during the solitary writing process. The
Friday Gospels is about a young girl growing up as a Mormon in Lancashire
and Swear Down unravels the story of why two very different men confess
to the murder of a gang leader in Hackney.
