SUN 16 NOV 2025 AT 2PM JOHN CLEESE ON FAWLTY TOWERS LIVE “Ah, happiness, yes, I remember that.” And for over 50 years, Fawlty Towers has delivered just that - to millions. Now, to mark the sitcom’s golden anniversary and the release of his new book Fawlty Towers: A 50th Anniversary Celebration, John Cleese will return to the scene of the crime: Britain’s most chaotic hotel.
John will revisit 25 of the show’s most iconic moments to serve up tales fresher than a Waldorf salad. From duck surprise, the mini that wouldn’t start, and the surprise in the cheese biscuits – John will reveal what really went on behind the mayhem.
You will hear stories never told before, and the inner workings of one of the most carefully constructed comedies ever made (yes, those scripts really were double the length). With reflections on casting, timing, and the beautiful chaos of production, John will offer a sharp and hilarious window into how Fawlty Towers came to life. Guided by a guest host and laced with audience interaction and questions, this is a celebration of the show's enduring brilliance - and of the madness, precision and occasional Moose that helped make it happen. Whether you “asked for a room with a view” or just “care for a rat”, don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime event. We’ve been waiting for it for about as long as Hadrian.

MON 25 - SAT 30 AUG 2025
CHICAGO
CHICAGO, the "sexiest musical ever" (Metro) comes to Lowry in August for one week only starring Strictly Come Dancing Professional Dancer and TV Star Janette Manrara (It Takes Two, Burn The Floor, Glee) as Roxie Hart, West End and TV stars Brenda Edwards (Loose Women, Chicago, The X Factor) as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton and Darren Day (Joseph, We Will Rock You, Doctors, Celebrity Big Brother) as Billy Flynn.
“Murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery and treachery...all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts”. So begins the international multi-award-winning musical, CHICAGO.
Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on the side lover after he threatens to walkout on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.
Created by the musical theatre talents of John Kander, Fred Ebb and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse, CHICAGO’s sexy, sassy score with one show-stopping song after another includes “Razzle Dazzle”, “Cell Block Tango”, and “All That Jazz”. With 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards, a Grammy® and thousands of standing ovations, CHICAGO truly is “SUPERB” (Daily Telegraph). Don't miss out, book now! It would be criminal to miss it...

| | | | | | | | At Wilderness Ireland, our team is more than guides and travel experts — we’re storytellers, historians, wildlife lovers, and proud locals who live and breathe this incredible island. From the wild Atlantic coast to the rolling green hills, we know the hidden corners and the stories that bring them to life.
Our love runs deeper than the landscapes; it’s rooted in the people, traditions, and histories that make this place so special. Whether it’s a favourite pub, a secret trail, or a centuries-old legend, we’re here to share the Ireland we know by heart.
Let us welcome you — and you won’t just tick off the highlights, you’ll experience this island the way we know and love it.
Featured are the adventures that we could happily repeat, time after time.
Cathriona from our sales team ensures clients have their perfect Irish adventure. Patricia, the managing director of WI, has lived and breathed these trips for many years. Fergus, one of our expert guides, leads people across the hidden gems of Ireland. Here’s the trips they chose and why.
|
| |
| |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Island hopping through Ireland’s southwest is one of the best ways to explore this region. There’s so much to enjoy from the friendliness of the locals, the delicious food and the fantastic scenery of Cork and Kerry.
But Cathriona's favourite part of the tour has to be visiting Skellig Michael, just off the Kerry coast. "Knowing that centuries before, people had built this haven in a seemingly inhospitable landscape, which we still get to explore today, is simply awe-inspiring."
|
|
| | | | | | | | | | | This trip takes us from Northern Ireland down the length of the Wild Atlantic Way. Along the way, we visit iconic landmarks like the Giant’s Causeway and the Cliffs of Moher. While also exploring lesser-visited historic sites and cosy coastal towns.
Even though the famous sites are unforgettable, Patricia’s most treasured experience on this trip is hiking Croagh Patrick - "The tranquillity and the sense of calm that fill the air is incredible and that's not to mention the views over Clew Bay!"
|
|
| | | | | | | | | | | Biking through Donegal’s wild and beautiful landscapes is an experience you’ll never forget—and one you’ll want to repeat. With its sweeping beaches, rugged mountains and scenic cycling routes, Donegal is a dream for adventurous bikers.
But for Fergus, "there’s nothing like pedalling along the unbelievably scenic Glengesh Pass before arriving at the equally magnificent Slieve League cliffs. There’s something about these epic views that makes the journey getting there much sweeter."
