London Literature Festival

Let's get our young people's voices heard
We have an exciting opportunity for young people in Lambeth and Southwark, aged 11 – 25, to join our Youth Collective. This group will help shape the Southbank Centre’s new Arts & Wellbeing youth programme. Young people involved can expect to:
- Meet once or twice a month
- Work on creative projects
- Develop leadership, teamwork and creative skills
- Receive vouchers, food and travel support
In partnership with Black Thrive, the Youth Collective will ensure the programme reflects the diversity of our local communities.
Celebrating 75 years
Our 75th anniversary programme
Last week, we announced our plans for 2026, which sees us celebrating 75 years of the Southbank Centre with a vibrant programme of events and exhibitions that look to the future.
In 1951, the Royal Festival Hall was opened as part of the Festival of Britain, designed to deliver a message of hope after World War II. Three-quarters of a century later, we draw inspiration from that spirit to bring you a year of powerful art, immersive installations and monumental performances to inspire us all.
Young people are at the heart of our celebrations with projects focused on platforming young talent, celebrating youth culture and looking to the future through the eyes of the next generation.
