Hey
New Yorkers,
Happy November
1st! We hope your Halloween was safe, productive and sweet.
Warm up from the
new brisk weather, with some vegetarian
chili courtesy of Martha Rose Shulman.π²π₯π
The cute and
iconic Mickey Mouse will be front and center when the “Mickey:
The True Original Exhibition,” opens later this month. Displaying art,
merchandise and other unique memorabilia from Mickey’s long-running career
the exhibition is enough to make any fan squeal, "oh boy!" ππ¨π
Polosub has
created an avocado-based sweet treat, served in a literal avocado skin. The
dessert can be customized by topping Polosud's
vegan avocado gelato base with a cream-based flavor. Keep it vegan by
choosing one of their dairy-free gelatos as a topping. There are only 40
being made per day now. They sell out quickly, so head down to Mott
street to grab yours. π₯π°π¨
Stay warm while
enjoying the changing seasons in the city and have fun.

Short Story Selection
As
the son of the High Duke of an interstellar empire, Dennison Crestmar is
under a microscope, expected to be great.
However,
Dennison's track record proves he is merely not gifted in the ways of war and
combat.
His crew does not
expect him to win any battles, nor are they eager to follow him. Aware
of this, he still attempts his best to prove them wrong.
Perhaps stepping
out of his father’s shadow and addressing the rebels in front of him is
precisely what he needs.

Artsy Architecture
Long
Island City is home to Socrates Sculpture Park, an outdoor space that
frequently houses many different artists hands-on type works.
This unorthodox
sort of “exhibition” focuses on artist HANNAH. Titled RRRolling Stones, the
artwork consists of seats that have all been 3-D printed out of
concrete.
The seats are
different shapes and colors, and can all be rolled around to where you want
to sit and how you decide to sit on them (they’re not all so
straightforward).
The inside of each
chair is still coarse, reminding those who are using it of its origin in
rock. The seats are an insightful comment on practical design and
architecture in the urban environment.
