12 Writers Announced as Winners of the Creative Future Literary Awards 2018

Creative Future deliver the UK’s only national competition for all under-represented writers, and we have announced its 12 ‘outstanding’ winners, including work from LGBTQ+, BMER and disabled writers.

Six poems and Six short stories were chosen from over 500 entries by a panel of profession judges, including Lemn Sissay OBE, and Aki Schilz from The Literary Consultancy.

The winners will be awarded prizes at a Showcase Event as part of The London Literature Festival at 6.45pm on Friday October 26th.

There are spaces available on our autumn programme of creative writing workshops for under-represented writers at New Writing South in Brighton and They Eat Culture in Preston. They’re suitable for beginners as well as more experienced writers and they’re led by the incredible Pat Winslow. Free Art Drop In

Our art workshop in Brighton is a relaxed and friendly class, open to all abilities. Over the course you will cover the basics of drawing using still life, portrait models and life models as well as exploring a wide range of different artistic processes including drawing, mono printing, collage and acrylic painting. Starting Monday 8th October 4:00 - 6:00 pm at New England House.

The Creative Future Peer Support Art Group seeks new members for its self-run, biweekly sessions in Brighton. Share your work, skills and aims, hear from other artists and guest speakers. This group is for experienced artists at an emerging/mid-career stage.
