Don't miss out...
This is
your last chance to book a place at
this year's Festival of Writing in York before bookings close
next week. Here's what you'll be missing...
Taking place over three glorious days in September (9th-11th)
in York, the 7th
Festival of Writing promises to give every
writer an opportunity to improve, connect and succeed. Whether
you seek to hone your craft in professional writing workshops,
meet the perfect agent for your work, or just socialise with
other writers, this year’s festival has something for everyone.

Professional insights on your writing
No
matter what stage you're at receiving insights from a
professional reader will improve your work and perhaps even
lead to a request to see the whole manuscript! We've even seen
writers earn multiple requests and offers of representation
from our 1-to-1 sessions. What would that be like for you? Just
imagine.

Crafting, editing, polishing
We've
more than fifty workshops covering all elements of crafting
quality fiction. They're suitable for writers of all genres,
abilities and ambitions. And sometimes it only takes one piece
of advice to unlock the skill your writing needs.

Your writing winning awards
You've
got to be registered for the festival to enter our life
changing competitions. Incidentally, most winners (and runners
up) from our Friday night LIVE and Opening Chapter competitions
earn the attention of every agent at the event.

"Good
luck to all of you coming to the Festival, and if you aren’t
shortlisted for any of the competitions don’t be disheartened. I didn’t and I still
came away with interest from 8 agents. So much can happen in the
1-on-1s, in the coffee queue, at the bar … the quickening of
fate can happen in the most unlikely places. As for the six
chosen for the Best
Opening Chapter, I’m so looking forward to reading
your work. And for one of you (or more), hold on tight, the
roller coaster is coming to get you…" Tor Udall,
Author.
