Creative
Kirklees Newsletter 9 September 2015
|
A new term starts and with it new creative courses and workshops – so
which one are you going to take part in? This week
we've focused on some of the new courses so if you’ve ever
fancied learning to draw, paint, fuse glass, spin, weave or sculpt, now
is your chance to have a go.
At Globe Arts Education in
Golcar you can chose from a range of courses from a Fused Glass to Drawing and Painting or Life Drawing. Or join
artist Natalia Dolgova in Holmfirth for a new term of Drawing Classes which cover
the basics of drawing, composition, perspective and colour in a friendly,
small group environment.
Create Space, run by Support to Recovery in the
Packhorse Centre in Huddersfield, is running a free Eco Bookbinding Course, a
Creative Drawing course and
an Expressive Watercolour Workshop
– and that’s just this month! Click on their profile and My Events (view all) to see all the courses
and workshop they have planned over the next few months.
For the kids the Huddersfield Art Gallery has its monthly Saturday Art Club on Sat
26 September; the Creative Arts Hub Advanced Arts Class continues
for those aged 10 and upwards and for children over 4 the Junior Art Club at Globe
Arts Education starts again on 12th September.
If you prefer to do a one-off workshop you can chose Greenfusions’ Learn
to Crochet & Hunky Chunky Hook workshops; Melanie Wilks Stone Carving workshop or Ruth
Gilbert’s Spinning and Weaving
workshop days to get you started.
In
the events section below we've picked out a few of these course
and workshops as well as some of the other events going on this week. To
make sure you don't miss anything go to the What's On section of Creative
Kirklees.
