Creative
Kirklees Newsletter - 1 July 2015
|
Hello
and welcome to this week's Newsletter.
It
seems that Summer has definitely arrived this week! If you’re out and
about in the sunshine - get Creative in Kirklees, there’s plenty to see
and do! Here are just a few tasters:
Cleckheaton
Folk Festival takes place from Friday-Sunday offering a family
friendly weekend of folk music and fun. Holmfirth
Art Week, a major exhibition of work by professional and amateur
artists begins on Sunday. If you are out in Huddersfield Town Centre, why
not pop along to the Food and Drink Fringe event “A
Taste of Things to Come” for some refreshments – this is taking place
from Friday – Sunday.
And
let’s hope the good weather continues as coming up on Sunday 12th July
the
Oakwell Music Festival brings 3 stages of 20 acts playing music, and
lots of family entertainment will be provided.
Just a
reminder, that if you would like to attend the Open
Space event taking place on Wednesday 15 July at Huddersfield Art
Gallery – you need to book your place!
Finally,
a further reminder to any Events Organisers in Kirklees, the Creative
Economy Team would like you to complete a short survey to assist them in
planning some free
training sessions aimed at helping groups to organise and deliver events.
The survey will help plan the sessions according to the areas groups
would like to receive training on.
Please
take a look through the Newsletter to see even more! |
